WORD PROMPT OF THE DAY II

It always takes something or someone to drive change
No one wants to give the credit when the change was a positive one, though
You did it on your own...yah, okay

But when the change leads to negativity
it's everyone else's fault but your own
You blame your childhood
Starting with your parent(s)
They were abusive
They missed your games
They didn't show up.

Never mind the minor detail of them having to work multiple jobs--
Keeping clothes on your back
A roof over your head,
And food to stuff that ungrateful mouth
you now use to curse at them.

We need a reaction to cause permanent change
to navigate through life.
Otherwise, we feel empty.
Without purpose or meaning.
It's almost debilitating--
(If that's the appropriate word to use).
What happens if one day we wake up
and nobody is there to tell us we suck
No reason to rise above?
Why has the masses made it so?
To need a reason to want
Growth and Greatness

Ahh! This will be the true test
of strength...
or weakness!

Intrigued, I am.

About the blog

I initially created my website to share my work with fellow writers. After taking a break for several years, I recently returned and turned one of my projects into a book titled “Guilty,” which I will be releasing at the end of February 2025! This has been an incredible journey, and I’m excited to see what comes next once this project is complete. Thank you for visiting! Please take a look at my work over the years and feel free to leave feedback—I truly appreciate it, whether it’s positive or constructive!
